How to Change the Theme on Infinix Phone
Infinix is one of the most popular smartphone brands. Known for offering solid specifications at affordable prices, Infinix also delivers a visually appealing user interface through its XOS system.
One of the features of this interface is theme customization. Being able to switch themes is especially useful when you've been using the same phone for a long time—it helps keep things fresh and personalized.

1. Changing the Entire Theme
The easiest way to update your phone’s appearance is by using the built-in XTheme app, which comes pre-installed on Infinix devices running XOS.
With this app, you can not only change the overall theme but also customize specific elements like the lock screen, wallpaper, icons, fonts, and even the video that plays during incoming calls.
Here’s how to change your theme using XTheme:
- Open the XTheme app on your phone.
- Browse through the available themes and select one you like.
- Tap Download to start downloading the theme.
- Once the download is complete, tap Apply to set the theme on your phone.
After applying the theme, your Infinix phone will automatically update its look—including the lock screen, wallpaper, icons, and more—according to the chosen theme.
2. Customizing Individual Theme Components
The XTheme app doesn’t just offer complete themes—you can also customize specific parts of your phone’s appearance, such as the lock screen, wallpaper, icons, fonts, and even the video that appears during incoming calls. Here’s how to change each of these components:
1. Changing the Video Show (Incoming Call Animation)
To change the video display that plays when there's an incoming call, first open the XTheme app. Then, tap the light bulb icon labeled ‘Discovery’ located at the bottom of the screen. Next, select the ‘Video Show’ menu. You’ll find several animated options like ‘Sun’, ‘Wave’, or ‘Neon’.
Choose the one you like, then press the ‘Download’ button to get the video. Once the download is complete, tap ‘Apply’ to activate it. The new video will now play automatically whenever someone calls your Infinix phone.
2. Changing the Lockscreen
Still on the ‘Discovery’ page, tap the ‘DIY’ menu. This section allows you to adjust various visual elements, including the lockscreen, wallpaper, and icons.
Under the ‘Lockscreen’ tab, you can choose an image either from your phone's gallery or from the online options provided by XTheme.
If you already have an image saved in your gallery, tap ‘Gallery’, then browse and select the image you want to use. You’ll be prompted to resize it to fit the lock screen properly. Once you’re satisfied with the size, tap ‘Save’ at the top left corner.
If you prefer to use an image from the internet, select the ‘Online’ option in the same ‘Lockscreen’ tab. You can search for images by entering keywords or browsing through categories.
Once you find the one you like, tap to select it, press ‘Download’, and then tap ‘Select Image’ to apply it to your lock screen.
3. Changing the Wallpaper
In the ‘Wallpaper’ tab, you can either use an image from your phone’s gallery or explore the online image options within the XTheme app. Simply choose the image you want, download it if necessary, and apply it as your wallpaper.
4. Changing the Icons
Now, move on to the ‘Icon’ tab. Here, you can select the icon style that suits your preference. Tap on any of the available options to preview how your phone’s home screen will look. Once you’ve decided, press ‘Apply’ to set the new icon pack on your device.
5. Changing the Font
Finally, you can also change the font or writing style. Return to the ‘Discovery’ page and select the ‘Font’ menu. You’ll see a list of font styles to choose from.
Pick one that you like, and you’ll be shown a preview of how it looks. If you're happy with your choice, tap ‘Download’, then press ‘Apply’, and confirm by selecting ‘OK’ when the prompt appears.
Once everything is set and customized to your liking, press the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the screen. After a few moments, the appearance of your Infinix phone will update automatically with all the changes you made.
3. Changing the Theme Through the Settings Menu
Besides using the XTheme app, you can also customize the theme, wallpaper, fonts, and more directly from the Settings menu. In fact, this method also allows you to activate a dynamic lockscreen.
Start by opening the Settings app. Then, scroll down slightly and tap on the Theme & Lockscreen menu. Inside, you’ll find several options to personalize the appearance of your Infinix phone.
To change the theme, select the My Theme menu. This section displays themes you’ve previously downloaded using the XTheme app. Simply pick the theme you want, then press Apply to activate it.
Next, go back to the previous page and tap on My Wallpaper if you only want to change the wallpaper. This section also shows wallpapers you've already downloaded via XTheme. Choose one and press Apply to use it.
Other menus like My DIY, My Fonts, and My Video Show work in a similar way. Each of them contains content you've already downloaded from the XTheme app, ready to be applied.
There’s also another feature called Magazine Lockscreen. In this menu, you can enable a lockscreen that changes its display content automatically. Just toggle on the Magazine Lockscreen option until it turns green.
Also, make sure to toggle on the Lockscreen Display option to allow the lockscreen content to change when you swipe it. Once activated, your phone's lockscreen will refresh its look with every swipe.
