Developed by Russian studio Sigma Team and launched in 2003, this game stands out thanks to its isometric shooter style, a perspective more commonly found in strategy games like Age of Empires II.

Initially available on PC, iOS, and Android, Alien Shooter was later adapted for the PlayStation Vita, allowing even more gamers to experience its chaotic alien battles.

About Alien Shooter

In Alien Shooter, your mission is simple: eliminate all the aliens. You can choose to play as either a male or female character, each with their own strengths. The male character boasts higher strength and health, while the female character has better speed and accuracy.

The game is divided into nine increasingly challenging stages. As you progress, you'll face tougher enemies and more complex objectives.

To clear each level, you’ll need to complete tasks such as wiping out all aliens, reactivating power generators, destroying walls, or disabling force fields.

Between missions, you can spend the money you've earned to buy new weapons or upgrade your current gear through the in-game shop. You can also boost your stats and purchase helpful items like extra lives, body armor, and attack drones.

Plot and Expansions of Alien Shooter

The story kicks off with your character investigating a mysterious laboratory. Things quickly spiral out of control when a teleportation device malfunctions, unleashing a wave of alien invaders and killing off the researchers and guards.

Your mission is stop the invasion by destroying the teleportation device, though each level presents increasingly powerful enemies that stand in your way.

Beyond the base game, Alien Shooter has two major expansions: Fight for Life and The Experiment, both released 11 years later. Fight for Life debuted on June 14, while The Experiment followed on September 22.

Each expansion adds five new levels and continues the story. In Fight for Life, six months have passed since the initial alien attack. The aliens return, forcing your character to once again take action.

This time, the goal is to restore the lab and develop a virus to wipe out the alien threat. Although the virus is eventually activated, the aliens manage to destroy it, leaving the fight far from over.

The Experiment picks up from there. Scientists at M.A.G.M.A. have discovered two dangerous specimens: a mutant dinosaur and an acid bat alien.

Intended to help combat the aliens, these creatures instead go rogue and attack the researchers. Now, your mission shifts to rescuing the surviving personnel alongside M.A.G.M.A. troops and recovering the DNA samples of the runaway monsters.
