6 Chipsets Similar to Dimensity 6300
MediaTek Dimensity 6300 is a 5G chipset built with 6nm technology by TSMC. It was released in April 2024 and uses an eight-core CPU with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz.
For graphics, it has a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU with first-generation Valhall architecture. It supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The chipset can handle cameras up to 108MP and video recording up to 2K at 30fps.
The Dimensity 6300 is almost the same as the Dimensity 6080, which came out in June 2023. In fact, the Dimensity 6300 can be seen as a rebranded version of the 6080, which is used in the itel P55 5G.
On the AnTuTu v10 benchmark, the Dimensity 6300 scores 447,617 points. Interestingly, several other chipsets reach a similar score. Below, we'll check out a list of chipsets that are close in performance to the Dimensity 6300.
1. MediaTek Dimensity 6080

As mentioned earlier, the Dimensity 6080 is very close to the Dimensity 6300 in performance. Both are built with TSMC’s 6nm process.
The CPU setup is the same, with eight cores, 2 Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.4 GHz for heavy tasks and 6 Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz for efficiency. The GPU is also the same Mali-G57 MP2.
The main difference is in RAM support. The Dimensity 6080 can only support up to 8 GB of RAM, while the Dimensity 6300 can go up to 12 GB. The download speed on the Dimensity 6300 is also faster at 3,300 Mbps, compared to 2,770 Mbps on the Dimensity 6080.
For Bluetooth, the Dimensity 6080 supports version 5.1, while the Dimensity 6300 supports version 5.2. Other than these points, the two MediaTek chipsets are nearly the same.
2. Helio G99/G100

Helio G99 and Helio G100 are popular 4G chipsets in the mid-range category. Both are made with TSMC’s 6nm process and are often called “twins” because they have very similar specifications.
They use an octa-core CPU with 2 Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.2 GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. For graphics, both come with the Mali-G57 MP2 GPU. They also support displays up to FHD+ resolution with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz.
In terms of features, the Helio G99 and G100 support LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, cameras up to 108MP, and MediaTek’s HyperEngine for stable networks and smooth frame rates. With these specifications, they provide good battery efficiency and smooth performance even though they do not have 5G support.
The main difference is that the Helio G100 supports camera sensors up to 200MP and has slightly better power and display optimization. Apart from that, there are no big differences between the two.
3. Snapdragon 695

Snapdragon 695 was released in October 2021 and has performance that is quite similar to the Dimensity 6300. It is a mid-range chipset that supports 5G networks using the X51 modem and can connect to both mmWave and Sub-6 bands.
This chipset is the first in the Snapdragon 600 series to use Cortex-A78 cores. Before Qualcomm changed its naming system to single numbers, the Snapdragon 695 was the most powerful in the 600 series.
To deliver fast performance, it has two high-performance Kryo 660 Gold cores based on Cortex-A78 running at 2.2 GHz, and six power-efficient Kryo 660 Silver cores based on Cortex-A55 at 2.0 GHz. For graphics, it uses the Adreno 619 GPU.
One downside of the Snapdragon 695 compared to the Dimensity 6300 is its older 6nm manufacturing process. Meanwhile, the Dimensity 6300 already uses 4nm, which is more efficient.
In multimedia, the Snapdragon 695 supports Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. It also has an image signal processor called Spectra 346T, which supports cameras up to 108MP. In this area, the Snapdragon 695 is similar to the Dimensity 6300.
The chipset supports both eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.2 storage. For memory, it works with LPDDR4x RAM. In the AnTuTu v10 benchmark test, the Snapdragon 695 scores 461,019 points.
4. MediaTek Helio G200

MediaTek Helio G200 is also seen as equal to the Dimensity 6300. Both are made with 6nm technology and have similar specs. They use an 8-core CPU, a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and support Full HD+ displays with up to 120 Hz refresh rate.
The main difference is the CPU speed. The Dimensity 6300 runs up to 2.4 GHz, while the Helio G200 reaches only 2.2 GHz. Also, the Helio G200 still uses 4G LTE and does not support 5G networks yet.
Interestingly, the Helio G200 supports camera resolutions up to 200MP and 12-bit DCG for HDR video. In comparison, the Dimensity 6300 only supports up to 108MP by default.
In some tests, the Helio G200 reached an AnTuTu v10 score of about 457,000 points. This score is very close to the Dimensity 6300.
5. Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 was made for entry-level smartphones based on its name. Normally, Snapdragon 6 series chipsets are used for mid-range phones.
However, because of technology improvements, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 now performs like a mid-range chipset. It was launched in June 2023 and is said to be 10% faster than the previous version. It is the first chipset in the Snapdragon 4 series built using Samsung’s 4nm process.
The chipset has two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores (2.2 GHz), six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores (2.0 GHz), and an Adreno 613 GPU running at 955 MHz.
It supports 5G networks using the Snapdragon X61 modem. For cameras, it supports up to 108MP and video recording at 1080p with 60 frames per second, just like the Dimensity 6300.
6. Exynos 1280

From Samsung, the Exynos 1280 is another chipset that performs close to the Dimensity 6300. Both use a CPU setup with 2 Cortex-A78 cores and 6 Cortex-A55 cores, and both reach a clock speed of 2.4 GHz.
The Exynos 1280 has two main points, it uses a smaller 5nm process, and it has a more modern architecture. Compared to the Dimensity 6300, which is built on 6nm, the 5nm Exynos 1280 is more power efficient.
Its CPU includes two Cortex-A78 cores (2.4 GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (2.0 GHz). The Cortex-A78 cores are newer and faster than the Cortex-A76 cores in the Dimensity 6300.
For graphics, it uses a Mali-G68 MP4 GPU running at 972 MHz. This chipset also includes an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) that operates at 4.3 TOPs. The Exynos 1280, released in March 2022, supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, similar to the Dimensity 6300.
For cameras, it supports up to 108MP, just like the Dimensity 6300. However, for video recording, it has a plus point. While the Dimensity 6300 is limited to 2K at 30 fps, the Exynos 1280 can record 4K videos at 30 fps.
That wraps up the list of chipsets that are considered similar in performance to the Dimensity 6300. While they are not exactly the same, these chipsets offer a user experience that is very close. Hopefully, this information is helpful.
