6 Chipsets Similar to MediaTek Dimensity 7300
In May 2024, Chinese chipmaker MediaTek introduced two new chipsets, including the Dimensity 7300. This mid-range chipset is the next version of the Dimensity 7050, which came out in May 2023.
Compared to the older version, the Dimensity 7300 uses a smaller 4 nm manufacturing process. This helps reduce CPU power use by up to 30%, and GPU power use by up to 46%. Overall, it is said to be 30% more power-efficient.
The chipset uses an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores (2.5 GHz) for performance and four Cortex-A55 cores (2 GHz) for efficiency. For graphics, it has an ARM Mali G615M P6 GPU, which gives 20% better frame rates and 20% better efficiency.
The Dimensity 7300 supports LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It also has the new Imagiq 950 12-bit HDR image signal processor, which allows it to record dual video at the same time. It supports camera resolutions up to 200 MP and 4K video recording at 30 FPS with HDR.
The display support is also good, up to WFHD+ or 2520 x 1080 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also includes the MediaTek APU 655 AI Accelerator that helps with AI tasks, visuals, and overall performance.
What about the benchmark results? The Dimensity 7300 scores around 741,703 on AnTuTu v10. On GeekBench 6, it scores 1043 for single-core and 2999 for multi-core performance.
So, what other chipsets are similar to the Dimensity 7300? Here are some chipsets that are close in performance or still good enough to compete.
1. Dimensity 7050

Of course, the closest match is its older version, the Dimensity 7050. Comparing it with the 7300 also helps us see how much has improved.
Dimensity 7050 is built on a 6 nm process by TSMC. It has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A78 cores (2.6 GHz) for performance and six Cortex-A55 cores (2 GHz) for efficiency. Its GPU is a Mali-G68 MP4 running at 80 MHz.
It supports LPDDR5 RAM at 3200 MHz. For imaging, it uses the MediaTek APU 550 ISP, which also supports up to 200 MP camera and 4K video at 30 FPS.
The Dimensity 7050 scores around 577,421 on AnTuTu v10. On GeekBench 6, it scores 956 for single-core and 2,343 for multi-core. For 3DMark Wild Life, it gets 2,294 points.
2. Snapdragon 7 Gen 3

Another chipset similar to the Dimensity 7300 is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. This chip has a processor with one prime Cortex A715 core (2.63 GHz) for main performance, three high-performance Cortex A715 cores (2.4 GHz), and four Cortex A510 cores (1.8 GHz) for power efficiency.
For graphics, it uses the Adreno 730 GPU. Built using a 4 nm process by TSMC, this Qualcomm chipset supports LPDDR5 RAM up to 3200 MHz and UFS 3.1 storage. These features make it comparable to some flagship-class chipsets.
In the camera department, it uses a Spectra ISP that works with main cameras up to 200 MP. It also supports video recording in 4K at 60 FPS and works with video codecs like H.264, H.265, VP8, and VP9.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 also includes the Snapdragon X63 modem, which supports 5G and 4G LTE Cat.18 networks, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3. Qualcomm says that phones using this chipset can reach download speeds of up to 5 Gbps.
In benchmark tests, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 scores 823,249 on AnTuTu v10. On GeekBench 6, it gets 1139 points for single-core and 3375 points for multi-core performance.
3. Kirin 9010

The next chipset is. Made with a 7 nm process by SMIC, this is one of the best chipsets ever made by Huawei. It is not only efficient but also powerful and reliable.
This chipset uses an octa-core CPU divided into three clusters. The first cluster has one Prime TaiShan V121 core (2.3 GHz) for main performance. The second has three more TaiShan V121 cores (2.18 GHz) for additional power. The last cluster includes four Cortex A510 cores (1.55 GHz) for power saving.
For graphics, it has a Maleoon 910 GPU running at 750 MHz. It also supports LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0 storage.
The chipset includes a Da Vinci AI Accelerator, which improves its performance. It can support display resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 pixels and 4K video recording at 60 FPS. Huawei first used this chipset in the Huawei Pura 70 Series.
On AnTuTu v10, the Kirin 9010 scores up to 823,241 points. On GeekBench 6, it scores 1421 for single-core and 4323 for multi-core.
4. Exynos 1480

One of the mid-range chipsets considered similar to the Dimensity 7300 is the Exynos 1480. In fact, their performance levels are quite close. Some tests even show that the Exynos 1480 is slightly better. This also shows that the Dimensity 7300 is still behind the older Exynos 2200 in terms of performance.
From several benchmark tests, the Exynos 1480 comes out ahead. But of course, these are just numbers. Real-life use can feel different.
The Exynos 1480 is made using a 4 nm process. It has eight CPU cores, which include four Cortex-A78 cores (2.75 GHz) and four Cortex-A55 cores (2 GHz). For graphics, it uses the Xclipse 530 GPU with a speed of 1,300 MHz.
This is the first Exynos mid-range chipset that uses AMD RDNA architecture for its GPU. It also supports UFS 3.1 internal storage and LPDDR5 RAM with speeds up to 3200 MHz.
When tested using the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, the chipset got a score of 734,625 on AnTuTu v10. On GeekBench 6, it reached 1,168 points for single-core and 3,503 for multi-core.
5. Dimensity 7400

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 is a high mid-range chipset released in 2025. As the name shows, it is a direct upgrade from the Dimensity 7300. So it makes sense that they share many similar features.
Both the Dimensity 7300 and 7400 are built using a 4 nm process. They also have the same CPU setup, which is 4 Cortex-A78 cores and 4 Cortex-A55 cores, along with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. They support LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage as well.
The main difference is the speed of the A78 cores. In the Dimensity 7400, the speed is increased slightly to 2.6 GHz. This difference is small and may not be very noticeable in daily use.
6. Dimensity 7200

Dimensity 7200 came out in 2023 and is part of the upper mid-range category. Even though it is in a higher class, it can still be compared to the Dimensity 7300.
This chipset is built with ARMv9-A architecture and uses a 4 nm process. It has eight cores, with two Cortex-A715 cores running at 2.8 GHz for high performance and six Cortex-A510 cores at 2 GHz for efficiency. It also includes the Mali-G610 MC4 GPU.
The chipset works with LPDDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz. It has a high data bandwidth of 51.2 Gbit/s, which helps with performance.
In benchmark tests, the Dimensity 7200 scored 712,093 on AnTuTu v10. On GeekBench 6, it scored 1,187 points for single-core and 2,643 points for multi-core.
So, those are the chipsets that can be considered equal to or close in performance to the Dimensity 7300. Still, each chipset has its own strengths and weaknesses, and how good a phone really is also depends on other features.
