6 Chipsets Similar to MediaTek Helio G200
MediaTek Helio G200 is a gaming-focused mid-range chipset. It has 8 CPU cores (2 Cortex-A76 at 2.2GHz for performance and 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz for efficiency) and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
Built on a 6nm process, the Helio G200 gives good performance for budget gaming phones. Its AnTuTu v10 score is about 457.000 points, while Geekbench 6 shows 738 points (single-core) and 2011 points (multi-core).
Even though the Helio G200 is powerful, it only supports 4G networks and still uses the older Cortex-A76 design. If you want other chipsets with similar performance, here are some alternatives.
1. Unisoc T8300

Unisoc T8300 is a mid-range 5G chipset released in 2025. Its performance is close to the Helio G200. It has an 8-core CPU with 2 Cortex-A78 cores at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.
Since the T8300 uses Cortex-A78, it has better single-core performance than the Helio G200 which uses Cortex-A76. For graphics, it also uses Mali-G57 MP2 GPU (2 cores), similar to the Helio G200. This GPU works fine for medium games, but is not the fastest for heavy 3D games.
The Unisoc T8300 is also made with a 6nm process, the same as the Helio G200, so their power use is similar. But since the T8300 has a built-in 5G modem, it may use a bit more battery when on 5G networks.
On benchmarks, the Unisoc T8300 scores about 470.000 points on AnTuTu, slightly higher than the Helio G200. On Geekbench 6, it scores around 752 single-core and 2209 multi-core, also a little ahead of the G200.
2. MediaTek Dimensity 6300

MediaTek Dimensity 6300 is a 5G chipset from 2024 with performance close to the Helio G200. Its CPU has 8 cores with 2 Cortex-A76 at 2.4GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz.
At first look, it is similar to the Helio G200 since both use Cortex-A76. But the Dimensity 6300 runs at a higher clock speed (2.4GHz vs 2.2GHz). The GPU is the same Mali-G57 MP2. You can think of this chipset as the “5G version” of the Helio G series, with a bit higher speed.
This chip is also made with a 6nm process and has good power efficiency. Even though it includes a 5G modem, MediaTek has optimized it so battery life is still fine in daily use.
On benchmarks, the Dimensity 6300 scores around 430.000 to 460.000 on AnTuTu and around 782 single-core and 2012 multi-core on Geekbench 6. In real use, its performance feels almost the same as the Helio G200, whether for normal apps or casual gaming.
3. MediaTek Dimensity 6400

MediaTek Dimensity 6400 is the successor to the 6300, and its performance is still in the same range as the Helio G200. The CPU has 8 cores with 2 Cortex-A76 at 2.5GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz.
This means the Dimensity 6400 uses the same design as the Helio G200, but it runs at a faster speed (2.5GHz vs 2.2GHz). It also supports 5G dual SIM that's better for connectivity.
The Dimensity 6400 is also built on a 6nm process, so its power efficiency is similar. Because of its higher speed, it may get a little hotter or use more battery under heavy load, but in daily use this difference is very small.
On tests, the Dimensity 6400 scores around 446k on AnTuTu v10, which is close to the Helio G200. On Geekbench 6, it scores about 803 single-core and 2159 multi-core, a bit higher than the G200 because of the faster CPU!
For daily tasks, this chipset feels fast and smooth. It can also run light to medium games well. But since the GPU is the same as the Helio G200, do not expect a big jump in frame rates for heavy games.
4. MediaTek Dimensity 7025

MediaTek Dimensity 7025 is a 5G chipset from the 7000 series released in 2024. Its performance level is similar to the Helio G200, but it uses newer CPU cores. The CPU has 2 Cortex-A78 at 2.5GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz, which makes it stronger in raw CPU performance.
For graphics, the Dimensity 7025 uses the PowerVR IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. This GPU has 8 clusters (128 shaders) running at 950MHz. On paper, it looks more powerful than the Mali-G57 MC2 in the Helio G200, but in practice the PowerVR GPU is not very strong in benchmarks.
The Dimensity 7025 is also built on TSMC’s 6nm process, so it is quite efficient for normal use. For gaming, however, it can heat up faster than the Helio G200.
Another advantage is memory support. The Dimensity 7025 can use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while the Helio G200 is limited to LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2. This makes phones with Dimensity 7025 faster in multitasking and app loading.
In benchmark tests, the Dimensity 7025 shows very strong CPU scores but weaker GPU results. This means it is better than the Helio G200 for browsing, multitasking, and apps that depend on CPU. But for 3D gaming, the Helio G200 with Mali-G57 MC2 can sometimes match or even perform better, especially in graphic-heavy games.
5. MediaTek Dimensity 7060

MediaTek Dimensity 7060 is a mid-range 5G chipset released in mid-2025. At first look, its specs are close to the Dimensity 7050 (which is a rebrand of the Dimensity 1080). But unlike those chips, the 7060 uses the same PowerVR GPU as the Dimensity 7025, which is considered weaker.
The CPU setup is quite strong; 2 Cortex-A78 at 2.6GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz. This makes multitasking, AI, and heavy computing very smooth.
However, the GPU (IMG BXM-8-256) is seen as the weak side of this chipset. Some even say its graphics power is worse than the Mali-G57 MC2 used in the Helio G200.
On the bright side, the Dimensity 7060 supports Wi-Fi 6, while most other mid-range chipsets still use Wi-Fi 5. It also supports dual SIM 5G.
Another plus is memory speed! Even though it still uses LPDDR5, its bandwidth can reach 51.2 Gbit/s. This helps in apps that need high data speed, such as 4K video recording.
6. Unisoc T9100/T820

Unisoc T9100 is a 5G chipset that is basically a rebrand of the Unisoc T820. Its CPU uses three clusters, 1 Cortex-A76 at 2.7GHz, 3 Cortex-A76 at 2.3GHz, and 4 Cortex-A55 at 2.1GHz.
With 4 Cortex-A76 cores in total, the T9100 is stronger in multi-core tasks compared to the Helio G200, which only has 2 big cores. It is built on a 6nm EUV process, so even with this powerful setup, it still has good power efficiency.
The Unisoc T9100 supports LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It also comes with an integrated 5G modem and dual SIM 5G support.
For gaming, it performs quite well, even allowing heavy games to run at slightly higher settings than on the Helio G200. The chipset also has an AI NPU with 8 TOPS performance, which helps improve camera features and AI tasks on phones.
One thing to keep in mind is software optimization. Unisoc chipsets are not as common as MediaTek or Qualcomm, so updates and support can sometimes be slower. Still, more big brands are starting to use Unisoc, which makes it more reliable.
The Helio G200 is not without rivals. There are several mid-range chipsets that can match or even beat its performance. For daily use like browsing, streaming, photography, and casual gaming, all of the above chipsets are more than enough.
But “equal” does not always mean the same. Each chipset has its own strengths. Some are better in CPU, others in GPU, or in features like 5G and Wi-Fi 6. The best choice depends on your needs, whether you want strong gaming, 5G support, or a balance of performance and efficiency.
