How to Create Google Meet Links for Now and Later
Google Meet has become a popular platform for online meetings, serving both professional and personal needs. Here, Carisinyal will share a detailed guide on creating Google Meet links for immediate meetings or for those scheduled in advance.
Creating a Link for a Meeting Now
If you need to start a meeting right away, you can do this:
1. Open Google Meet

Go to the Google Meet website at meet.google.com, and click on the "New Meeting" button, which is usually located in the center or top of the main page.
2. Select "Start an instant meeting"

Click on "New Meeting" and choose the "Start an instant meeting" option. This will open a new meeting window and automatically generate a meeting link.
3. Copy the Meeting Link

You can find your meeting link either at the bottom or the top of the Google Meet window, depending on the layout. Click on the link to copy it to your clipboard.
Now, you can share this link with others through email, instant messaging, or any other communication method you prefer.
Creating a Link for a Future Meeting
To set up future meetings, you can easily create a link beforehand and share it with the participants:
1. Open Google Meet
Go to the Google Meet website and click the "New Meeting" button on the main page.
2. Select "Create a meeting for later"
Choose the "Create a meeting for later" option. This will generate a Google Meet link that you can share with others who will be attending the meeting.
3. Copy the Meeting Link

The link for your meeting will be created right away. You can copy it to share with participants.
Scheduling a Meeting in Google Calendar
For more structured meetings, scheduling through Google Calendar is common. Here’s how to do it:
1. Open Google Meet
Visit the Google Meet website using a browser and click the "New Meeting" button on the main page.
2. Select "Schedule on Google Calendar"
Once you click "New Meeting," choose "Schedule in Google Calendar." This will allow you to enter the meeting details into Google Calendar.
3. Create a New Event

Click on the time or date in the calendar when you plan to hold the meeting. You can click "Create" or "More Options" to enter additional details.
- In the "Add title" field, type the name or title of the meeting as you, the meeting organizer, prefer.
- Set the "Date and time" for the meeting to inform members of its duration. If the meeting is going to last a full day, check the "All day" box.
- Enter the location of the meeting in the "Location" field, indicating where it will take place.
- If you wish to send notifications to meeting members, choose when the notifications should appear before the meeting starts under the "Notification" option. If you don't want to send notifications, you can skip this step.
- You can set automatic notifications to appear on the member's device calendar by choosing the "Add notification" option.
- In the "Guests" field, include the emails of members who will participate in the meeting. You have the option to allow guests to modify the event, invite others, or view the guest list.
4. Add Google Meet Video Conferencing
In the event options, click on "Add Google Meet video conferencing." This will automatically create a meeting link for you to share.
5. Fill in Other Details
Enter other important details about the meeting, like the title, location, and a brief description.
6. Invite Participants
Type the participants' emails in the "Add guests" section to send them automatic invites through Google Calendar.
7. Save and Share
Click "Save" and choose whether to send email invitations to the participants.
Creating a Google Meet link is straightforward and adaptable for both spontaneous and planned meetings. With Google Meet's smooth integration with Google Calendar, you can handle all the details of your meeting with ease and precision.
Ensure all participants receive the link and confirm their attendance to help your meeting proceed without any issues. Good luck with your upcoming meeting!
