6 Differences Between Infinix Hot 60 Pro and Hot 50 Pro

Among many Infinix phones, the Hot Pro Series is one of the safest choices. The Pro version still has a good price but gives you similar features as the more expensive Pro+ model. Two phones that are often recommended are the Infinix Hot 50 Pro and its newer version, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro.

Both phones are quite good in some areas, such as the screen, performance, battery, and stylish design. But if you need to choose one, here are some of the key differences between the two.

1. Body Design and Colour Choices

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro has a thinner body. It is only 6.6 mm thick, while the older Hot 50 Pro is 7.4 mm thick. Even though both are easy to hold, the Hot 60 Pro feels a bit slimmer in the hand.

Although it's thin, the Hot 60 Pro is said to survive drops from up to 1.5 meters. So you don’t have to worry too much about it breaking. However, both phones are only splash-resistant, not waterproof. So you can't use them under water.

The Hot 50 Pro, on the other hand, comes in three more simple colours; Titanium Grey, Sleek Black, and Glacier Blue. These all have a soft matte finish, good for people who like a clean and simple look.

2. Extra Button and Speaker Quality

The Hot 60 Pro has a new button on the side, called the Adaptive One-Tap button. It sits just below the power button. You can use it as a shortcut to open things quickly, like the camera, flashlight, gallery, voice recorder, and more.

This special button is not found on the Hot 50 Pro. But the Hot 50 Pro has a better speaker system. It uses stereo speakers, while the Hot 60 Pro only has a mono (single) speaker.

Stereo speakers give louder and more balanced sound because there are speaker holes on both the top and bottom of the phone. This makes watching videos or playing games feel more enjoyable.

3. Refresh Rate and Screen Brightness

Let’s talk about the screen. Both phones offer good quality for their price. The screen size is large at 6.78 inches, and the bezel around it is very thin. The screen uses AMOLED, so the colours look bright and strong, with deep black areas.

The main difference is in the sharpness. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro has Full HD+ resolution at 1080 x 2436 pixels. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro is a bit better with 1.5K resolution or 1224 x 2720 pixels. This makes the screen look sharper and clearer in every part.

The Hot 60 Pro also works better outdoors. It can reach up to 4500 nits of brightness. Even under strong sunlight, you can still see the screen clearly. The Hot 50 Pro is lower at 1300 nits, but it still works well in many situations.

For smoothness, the Hot 60 Pro has a 144 Hz refresh rate. This is usually found in gaming phones that cost more. It helps make scrolling, browsing, and gaming feel smoother. The Hot 50 Pro is also good with a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is already very nice to use.

4. Helio G200 vs Helio G100

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro uses the Helio G200 chipset. This is the next version of the Helio G100, which is used in the Hot 50 Pro. But does it bring a big improvement? Not really.

Just like what happened with the Helio G99 before, the Helio G200 only brings better camera support and better network connection. The performance is still the same.

Both the G200 and G100 are made with a 6 nm process. The structure is also the same, using eight CPU cores. There are two Cortex A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz for stronger tasks, and six Cortex A55 cores at 2 GHz for lighter use.

Based on tests, the Helio G200 in the Hot 60 Pro gets an AnTuTu v10 score of up to 460,000. The G100 in the Hot 50 Pro scores around 420,000. This difference is not that significant, so you may not feel much change when playing games.

5. OS and Upgrade Guarantee

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro was released in early 2024. It runs on Android 14 and uses the XOS 14.5 interface. A year later, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro came out with Android 15 and the newer XOS 15.1 interface. This interface is known to be one of the best for Android phones because of its flexible display settings and multitasking features.

Both phones come with AI features called Infinix AI Infinite shown with an infinity logo. These AI tools are made to help users with daily tasks and to improve creativity.

The main difference between the two phones is the upgrade guarantee. The Hot 50 Pro only gives one OS upgrade after purchase. So, it can be updated to Android 15 but may not get more updates after that.

On the other hand, the Hot 60 Pro gives three OS upgrades. This means it can receive new updates until Android 18.

For charging, the Hot 60 Pro supports 45W fast charging. In Hyper mode, it can charge up to 50 percent in just 22 minutes. The Hot 50 Pro has 33W fast charging. In Hyper mode, it can reach 50 percent in about 27 minutes.
