How to Check the MAC Address on a Windows PC
There are two methods to find the MAC Address on a Windows PC: using Command Prompt for detailed information or checking through network settings. Here’s how to do it:
1. Using Command Prompt
Command Prompt is one of the easiest ways to check the MAC Address on your Windows PC. By using Command Prompt, you can access detailed information about the network your device is connected to. Here’s how to do it:
1. Open Command Prompt

You can open the Command Prompt by pressing the Windows + R keys on the keyboard to open the Run dialog box. Next, type cmd in the text box and press Enter.
Another way you can try is by typing cmd or command prompt in the search bar next to the Windows logo. After that, select the Command Prompt application in the search results.
2. Enter Command

Once Command Prompt is open, type the following command: ipconfig /all .Then press Enter. This command will display various details related to the network connections on your computer, including information about Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networks.
3. Find MAC Address

Among the various pieces of information displayed, look for the Physical Address under the network adapter you want to check. That is your device's MAC Address.
The Physical Address typically consists of 12 alphanumeric characters, separated by either hyphens or colons. This is the unique identifier for your network device.
2. Through Network Settings
In addition to using Command Prompt, you can also check the MAC Address through the network settings in Windows. This method is easier and doesn’t require any special commands. Here’s how to do it:
1. Go to Network Settings

First, click the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of your screen, then select Settings (the gear icon). Once the Settings menu opens, choose Network & Internet to view all the network settings on your computer.
2. Select Connection Type

In the Network & Internet menu, click on Wi-Fi (if you're using Wi-Fi) or Ethernet (if you're using a LAN cable). Then, click on the name of the network you are connected to in order to view its detailed information.
3. View Network Details

On the next page, scroll down until you find your network information. In this section, you’ll see the Physical Address (MAC), which is the MAC Address of your device.
