5 Differences Between Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ and Hot 50 Pro+

One of the most interesting things about the Infinix Hot Series is its top model with a very thin body. This started with the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+, which was only 6 mm thick. Then came the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, and it is even thinner than 6 mm. That's why it's known as the thinnest phone in the world.

Even though they are in the same price range, these two phones still have some differences. These include the design, screen, performance, and battery. To help you understand better, here are the main differences between the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ and the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+.

1. Body Design and Color Options

Both phones are very thin. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ is 6.8 mm thick, while the Hot 60 Pro+ is even thinner at 5.95 mm. Both phones also have a curved design. This makes them more comfortable to hold and gives them a more expensive look.

Even though the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is very thin, it is made to survive drops from up to 1.5 meters. So, you do not need to worry too much if it falls. However, its water protection is the same as the Hot 50 Pro+. It's only splash-proof and cannot be put in water.

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ comes in more color choices. Some of these are Coral Tides, Misty Violet, Titanium Silver, and Sleek Black with a matte finish. There are also Sonic Yellow and Moco Cyber Green options that use leather with a special pattern.

The Moco Cyber Green model also has a nice scent due to something called Energizing Scent-Tech. This scent feature was first used on the Infinix Note 50X 5G and Note 50S 5G.

On the other hand, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ is available in only three colors, Titanium Grey, Dreamy Purple, and Sleek Black. These are good for people who prefer a simpler look.

2. Screen Quality and Refresh Rate

Both phones have a curved screen that gives a fancy look. The screen size is 6.78 inches, and the bezels are very thin. They use AMOLED panels, so colors are bright and blacks look deeper.

The Hot 50 Pro+ has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels. The Hot 60 Pro+ is a bit better with a 1.5K resolution of 1224 x 2720 pixels. This makes images look clearer and sharper.

This higher resolution also helps when using the phone outdoors. The Hot 60 Pro+ has a peak brightness of 4500 nits, so the screen stays bright even in strong sunlight. The Hot 50 Pro+ is not as bright, with a maximum of 1300 nits.

For screen smoothness, the Hot 60 Pro+ supports a 144 Hz refresh rate. This is quite high for a phone in this price range. It feels very smooth when scrolling or playing games. The Hot 50 Pro+ is still good, with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

3. Processor Performance

For performance, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ uses the Helio G200 chipset. This is the next version after the Helio G100, which is used by the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+. But does the Helio G200 bring big improvements? Unfortunately, not really.

Like the Helio G100, this new chipset mainly improves camera and network features from the older Helio G99. It does not bring major changes in speed or power.

The Helio G200 is still made with the same 6nm process as the other two. It also keeps a similar setup, with eight cores in total. It has two Cortex A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz for performance and six Cortex A55 cores at 2 GHz for saving power.

There is a small difference in the graphics part. The GPU on the Helio G200 is Mali G57 MC2, running at 1100 MHz. The Helio G100 uses the Mali G57 MP2 at 1000 MHz.

According to Infinix, the Helio G200 in the Hot 60 Pro+ can reach up to 450,000 on the AnTuTu v10 benchmark. Meanwhile, the Helio G100 in the Hot 50 Pro+ reaches about 410,000. This small difference may not affect gaming performance much.

Another thing to know is about storage. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ still has a dedicated microSD card slot. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ does not. So, you can't add a memory card to the Hot 60 Pro+. You need to choose the right storage size when buying the phone, so it is enough for your daily use.

4. OS Upgrade Guarantee

These phones were released in different years, so their software is also different. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ came out in 2024 with Android 14 and the XOS 14.5 interface. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ was released in 2025 with Android 15 and XOS 15.1. This version is seen as better because it gives more display options.

Both phones have AI features called Infinix AI Infinite (with the infinity symbol). The difference is in how long they will get system updates. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ only gets one Android update from the time you buy it. So, it can be updated to Android 15 but may not get future updates.

The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ has a longer update promise. It will get three Android updates. This means it can be updated up to Android 18, so you can enjoy new features for a longer time.

5. Battery Capacity and Charging Speed

Now let’s look at the battery. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ has a small advantage with a bigger battery size of 5160 mAh. On the other hand, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ has a standard 5000 mAh battery.

The difference may not look big, but keep in mind that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ has a much thinner body. Even with this thin design, it still manages to offer a larger battery, which means it can last longer. This is a nice upgrade.

Based on tests from GSMArena, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ can last for about 11 hours and 11 minutes with active use. Meanwhile, the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ lasts slightly less, at 10 hours and 54 minutes.

In addition to the larger battery, the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ also charges faster. It supports 45W fast charging and can be fully charged in around 1 hour and 10 minutes. The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ supports 33W fast charging and needs about 1 hour and 17 minutes to fully charge, based on GSMArena tests.
