Using Prt Sc Key

The easiest way to take a screenshot is by using the Prt Sc key. This feature has been available since earlier versions of Windows, so it’s no surprise that most keyboards today include a Prt Sc button.

Prt Sc stands for "Print Screen," which is another term for taking a screenshot. Below are some methods you can use to capture your screen with the Prt Sc button.

1. Prt Sc Key

The first method is to simply use the Prt Sc key. First, select the screen you want to capture, such as the Carisinyal website page. Then, press the "Prt Sc" key, which is usually located at the top right of the keyboard.

Once you press the button, the screenshot will be copied to your clipboard. Next, open the Paint application and click the paste button. Your screenshot will instantly appear in the Paint window.

Next, you can edit the image using the tools available in the Paint application. Once you're done, save the screenshot to your PC or laptop by clicking the save icon.

Keep in mind that this method captures a full-screen screenshot. In other words, it saves everything visible on your screen at the moment you press the Prt Sc button.

2. Alt + PrtSc Keys

If you want to capture only the active window without including other parts of the screen, press the Alt + Prt Sc keys simultaneously. This will take a screenshot of the window you’re currently using.

The screenshot will be copied directly to the clipboard, so you’ll need to open the Paint application again to view and edit it. Follow the same steps as mentioned earlier: open Paint, press the paste button, make any necessary edits, and save the image.

3. Windows + PrtSc Keys

If you want to save your screenshot instantly without opening the Paint application, this method is the perfect solution. Simply press the Windows + Prt Sc keys simultaneously to take a screenshot.

Once you press this combination, the screenshot will be automatically saved in the Pictures > Screenshots folder. All your screenshots will be stored there, making them easy to access whenever you need them.

Using Snipping Tool App

Although using the "Prt Sc" key is quite simple, some laptops don't include this key on their keyboards. As a result, the methods mentioned earlier may not be available.

Fortunately, Windows offers a built-in tool called the Snipping Tool, which is automatically installed on devices running the Windows operating system.

With the Snipping Tool, you can select specific areas of the screen to capture. This allows you to take precise screenshots without needing to capture the entire screen. Here’s how to use the Snipping Tool:

1. Open the Snipping Tool app

Open the Snipping Tool app. You can open it by typing “snipping tool” in the search box on the task bar. Next, launch Snipping Tool.

2. Select the screenshoot mode

Next, you can choose the screenshot mode. The Snipping Tool offers several modes to suit your needs: free from snip mode (screenshot in a free way, rectangular (screenshot with a square shape), Windows (screenshot only the active window), and full screen (screenshot the entire screen).

3. Select the screenshot time

In addition to screenshot mode, Snipping Tool also has a feature to delay after taking a screenshot. For example, if you choose a 3-second delay, when you take a screenshot, the application will not capture the screen immediately but there is a 3-second pause before taking a screenshot.

4. Take the screenshot

After setting the mode and time, you only need to click new to take a screenshot. If you choose Rectangle or Free Form mode, then you must specify which screen area to take a screenshot of.

Meanwhile, if you use Windows or Full Screen mode, the screenshot will be taken automatically.

5. Edit dan Save

After taking the screenshot, you can make minor edits using the tools available in the Snipping Tool application. If you find the editing options lacking, you can easily transfer the screenshot to Paint for further modifications.
