The Pros and Cons of realme Note 70
If you want a strong phone with a good battery and solid body, the realme Note 70 can be a good choice. The battery is much bigger than normal, but the phone is still thin and easy to hold. It also has an IP rating and a military standard certificate that make it stronger.
This strength continues from the older realme Note 60. Some other parts are also interesting, like the smooth screen, good performance, and AI support. Let’s look at the pros and cons of the realme Note 70.
Pros of realme Note 70
realme Note 70 is an entry-level phone that is strong and reliable. It also has some other good points. Here are the pros:
1. Large Battery Capacity 6300 mAh

Most people want a phone with a big battery. realme Note 70 gives you 6300 mAh, which is big for this price class. Many brands now give large batteries to attract buyers. A big battery usually means the phone can last longer.
According to realme, this phone can last up to 46 hours for calls, 20 hours for YouTube, 19 hours for Instagram, and 10 hours for Mobile Legends. After only 5 minutes of charging, you can use the phone for 2 more hours of calls or 5 more hours of Spotify.
The charging speed is still not very good. The older realme Note 60 had 10W charging. This new model has 15W, but it still feels slow for a 6300 mAh battery.
Another plus is the reverse charging feature. With a USB Type-C cable, this phone can charge other devices like TWS earphones, headphones, or smartwatches.
2. Minimalist Design and Still Thin

The realme Note 70 looks simple but beautiful. The camera module is a rectangle with three circles inside. One of them is the Pulse Light. It works as a flashlight and also shows when there are new notifications.
This phone comes in two colours; Beach Gold and Obsidian Black. The Beach Gold version has a shiny pattern like beach sand. The Obsidian Black version looks plain with soft black. Both colours use a matte finish, so the phone feels smooth to touch and doesn't show fingerprints easily.
Even with a large battery, the body of the realme Note 70 is still thin. The thickness is 7.94 mm and the weight is 201 grams. It still feels comfortable to hold and easy to keep in your pocket.
The durability of this phone is also strong. It has MIL-STD-810H certification and ArmorShell for extra protection. The company says it can survive a fall from 1.8 metres and can handle weight up to 33 kg. It also has IP64, so it's safe from dust and water splashes.
3. Equipped with UNISOC T7250 SoC, Good for Daily Use

For performance, the realme Note 70 uses the UNISOC T7250 chipset. This chipset is good for daily use and can also play some games if you adjust the settings.
The UNISOC T7250 is actually a rebrand of the UNISOC T612 used in the realme Note 60. This chipset also appears in other phones in the $70 price range, such as Redmi A5, itel City 100, realme C71 NFC, and Tecno Spark Go 2.
The UNISOC T7250 is made with 12 nm fabrication and has eight CPU cores. It has two ARM Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8 GHz for heavy tasks and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6 GHz for efficiency. For graphics, it uses Mali G57 MC2.
According to realme, the UNISOC T7250 in the Note 70 can reach an AnTuTu v10 score of up to 280,000. Infofull reports a lower score of about 230,000. Even so, this performance is enough to play Mobile Legends smoothly at 60 FPS for 2 hours.
The downside is the gyro sensor. It is only software-based, so the response is not good for FPS games like PUBG Mobile, especially in competitive play. Mobile Legends is still the most recommended game because it does not need very high specifications.
4. Always-on-Display and Mini Capsule Available

The realme Note 70 features a good screen. The size is 6.74 inches with thin bezels. The resolution is only HD+ or 720 x 1600 pixels, but the colours are still sharp enough for watching videos or playing games.
The screen is not very different from the realme Note 60. It still uses an IPS LCD panel, not AMOLED. This is normal for a phone in the $70 price range. A special feature on this screen is a clock that appears after the screen is locked for some time. It looks like the Always-on-Display feature usually found on AMOLED panels.
The realme Note 70 also has a feature called Mini Capsule. It makes the notch more interactive by expanding on the screen. This is similar to the Dynamic Island on the iPhone.
Another strong point is the refresh rate of 120 Hz. It makes scrolling, browsing, and gaming smoother and more comfortable.
The maximum brightness is 563 nits (peak). Using it outdoors can be difficult if the sunlight is strong because the screen reflects light. But it is still fine as long as the phone is not in direct sunlight.
5. Android 15 with realme UI 5.0

The realme Note 70 was released in 2025 with Android 15 and realme UI 5.0. This interface is made for better multitasking. realme UI 5.0 has many features that make daily use faster and more fun, including some AI features.
One useful AI feature is AI Call Noise Reduction 2.0. It can reduce background noise during calls. Another feature is Circle to Search, which helps you find information on the screen more quickly.
The phone also has AI features for photos, such as AI Eraser, AI Clear Face, and AI Image Matting. These features are helpful for people who like editing photos and want to make them look better.
Cons of realme Note 70
Because it is an entry-level phone, the realme Note 70 makes some sacrifices to keep its strong build. These points may be things you want to think about before buying.
1. Mono Speaker

The realme Note 70 is fine for simple daily use like watching or scrolling on social media. The wide screen and some features are already good for its price.
But for watching videos, it is better to use earphones, either wired or wireless. This is because the phone only has one speaker. The speaker is placed at the bottom, next to the USB Type-C port and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The sound is quite loud, and you can increase the volume up to 300 percent. Still, the sound from one speaker hole is not as good as stereo sound. So earphones are the best way to enjoy movies or music.
2. Average Camera Quality

The realme Note 70 has a simple camera system. On the back, there is only one main camera with 13 MP resolution. It has an f/2.2 aperture and can record video up to 1080p 30 FPS. There is no autofocus or stabilisation, so taking photos or recording videos is not very easy.
On the front, the phone has a 5 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. This camera also has no autofocus or stabilisation. The video quality is only up to 720p 30 FPS.
3. Slow Charging

The realme Note 70 has a big 6300 mAh battery, but the charging speed is slow. The charging power increased from 10W in the Note 60 to 15W, but this is still too small for such a large battery.
For a battery this size, at least 33W fast charging would be better. With 15W, it takes a lot more time to fully charge, especially after the first hour.
4. Small RAM and eMMC Storage

Another weakness is the small memory. The phone only has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There is a RAM expansion feature, but it does not really improve performance.
The good thing is that you can add more storage with a microSD card up to 2 TB. But the internal memory type is still eMMC. This type of storage is slower than UFS, especially for tasks like moving or extracting files.
The only advantage of eMMC is its low cost. That is why many budget phones, including the realme Note 70, still use it.
Conclusion
The realme Note 70 is an affordable phone with strong power. One example is the 6300 mAh battery that can last a full day for many activities. The weakness is the slow charging, so it needs a long time to be fully charged.
Another strong point of the realme Note 70 is its tough body. It has MIL-STD-810H and ArmorShell certifications that make it resistant to drops and able to handle weight. The design is still nice to look at, and the body is thin enough even with the big battery.
Other good things are the solid performance, a smooth screen with special features, and AI features that can help daily use. But you still need to think about the small memory, the single speaker, and the average camera quality.
So, what do you think? Are you still interested in this phone?
