The Pros and Cons of the vivo V60 Lite
The vivo V60 Lite is the most basic model in the vivo V60 Series. Because of its lower price, some features have been reduced. Even so, the phone still offers several interesting advantages for its price range.
The V60 Lite is the successor to the vivo V50 Lite. Its features are mostly similar, including a stylish design, an AMOLED screen that looks sharp, and a battery that lasts long and charges fast. First off, let's look at the pros and cons of the phone below!
Pros of vivo V60 Lite
As the entry-level model, the vivo V60 Lite is priced at around USD 200. It’s expected that the phone comes with some limitations. Still, there are a few strong points that make it worth considering.
1. Stylish Design with Solid Durability

The vivo V60 Lite has a clean and elegant design. Its camera layout and Aura Light placement are quite similar to the vivo V60 Lite 5G. Compared to the regular vivo V60, this model looks a bit simpler. It doesn’t have the ZEISS branding, and the camera layout is more compact.
In terms of comfort, the phone feels slim and light. It’s only 7.59 mm thick and weighs 194 grams. The back has a matte finish, which gives it a smooth texture and makes it comfortable to hold.
The V60 Lite comes in three color options, Vibing Blue, Vibing Pink, and Vibing Black. Each one features a soft gradient that shifts from dark to light. If you place it next to the V60 Lite 5G, it’s hard to tell them apart just by looking.
When it comes to durability, this phone is IP65 certified. That means it’s protected from dust and can handle light splashes of water, even in the rain for up to 12 hours.
What’s more impressive is that it also passed MIL-STD-810H testing and received an SGS Five-Star certification. It can survive certain drops or impacts, making it safer to use in different situations.
2. 6500 mAh Battery with 90W Fast Charging

The vivo V60 Lite is equipped with a large 6500 mAh battery. vivo seems confident with this capacity, as it’s the same one used in the previous models, such as the vivo V50 Lite and even the regular vivo V60. This battery makes the V60 Lite stand out among phones in the same price range.
The battery can handle various daily tasks with ease. According to vivo, the phone can last up to 27.5 hours for watching YouTube, 25 hours for chatting on WhatsApp, 14.8 hours for navigation, and 16.8 hours for scrolling TikTok.
Not only does it have a long-lasting battery, but it also supports 90W FlashCharge. This helps reduce charging time, even though the battery is quite large. It takes only around 55 minutes to fully charge the phone.
Another useful feature is Bypass Charging, which allows the phone to power the system directly while gaming, without putting stress on the battery. This helps maintain battery health. There’s also a reverse charging feature, so you can use the V60 Lite to charge other devices like another phone, a smartwatch, or TWS earbuds.
Overall, vivo describes the battery performance using the “Five Golden Standards.” These include:
- Ultra-Slim, for the thin design
- Ultra-Large, for the big battery size
- Ultra-Fast, for the quick charging
- Ultra-Secure, to keep the phone safe
- Ultra-Durable, which means the battery stays reliable even after five years of use
3. Smooth AMOLED Display with 120 Hz Refresh Rate

Another strong feature of the vivo V60 Lite is its display. Just like the 5G version, the phone uses a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel. However, the bezels on this model are slightly thicker because it doesn’t have a curved screen like the higher models.
The screen has a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2392 pixels), which gives sharp and clear visuals. This is great for watching movies, scrolling social media, or just browsing the internet.
For smoother experience, the screen supports a dynamic refresh rate. It can go up to 120 Hz for fast and fluid motion, or drop to 60 Hz to save battery. Whether you're gaming or watching videos, the display feels smooth and responsive.
4. Loud Stereo Speakers, Up to 400 Percent

The vivo V60 Lite still comes with decent stereo speakers. The sound quality is loud and clear, and it can compete well with other phones in the same price range. Interestingly, vivo allows you to boost the volume not just up to 100 percent, but all the way to 400 percent.
While the volume boost is powerful, it’s best used only in special situations. For example, when you need to make a phone call or hear something in a noisy place. Still, the sound quality remains enjoyable at normal volume levels.
In my opinion, even without any volume enhancement, the sound is already good. Watching movies, listening to music, or playing games feels clear and immersive.
5. Ultrawide Camera and Aura Light

In terms of camera, the vivo V60 Lite has a similar setup to the previous vivo V50 Lite. On the back, it features a 50 MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor. This is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide camera.
One thing to remember is that the main camera doesn't come with OIS (optical image stabilization). This is one of the main differences from the higher-end vivo V60. Without OIS, videos may appear shakier, especially if your hand moves while recording.
Even so, the main camera is supported by PDAF autofocus, which helps capture bright and detailed photos. The ultrawide camera has a 120-degree field of view, which is perfect for group photos or wide landscape shots.
As for video, the vivo V60 Lite can only record at 1080p at 30 frames per second. This applies to both the rear and front cameras. The front camera has a 32 MP resolution, good enough for casual selfies and video calls.
6. AI Features for Photos and Everyday Use

Released in 2025, the vivo V60 Lite brings several AI features that help improve photo quality. vivo calls this feature set AI Image Studio. Some of the useful tools include AI Erase 3.0 and Enhance, which help add more detail and sharpness to your photos.
There is also AI Aura Light Portrait, a feature that creates more natural lighting, similar to a photo studio. With the round shape of the LED flash, the light spreads more evenly. This helps produce better skin tones and gives a soft cinematic look, especially in low-light conditions.
Aside from photography, the phone also provides AI tools for daily tasks. For example, AI SuperLink helps improve signal and network performance. Other tools like Circle to Search with Google, Live Text, and AI Screen Translation make it easier to find information, copy text, or translate what’s on your screen.
7. Complete Connectivity and Sensors
Another plus point of the vivo V60 Lite is its complete set of connectivity features and sensors. The phone supports dual-band WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 for fast and stable connections. It also includes NFC, which can be used for contactless payments, quicker data sharing, and other practical uses.
In terms of sensors, the phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the device easily. There’s also a hardware gyroscope, which improves the gaming experience in FPS games and helps reduce shakiness while recording videos. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and compass.
Cons of vivo V60 Lite
Of course, the Vivo V60 Lite has several things to consider. This is understandable, considering its position as the most standard "Lite" model in the series. Here are some of its shortcomings.
1. Still Using Snapdragon 685

The vivo V60 Lite still uses the Snapdragon 685 chipset. When compared to other phones in the same price range, this chipset doesn’t really have strong performance. It may struggle with heavy multitasking or playing games.
What’s more disappointing is that this chipset has been used in the previous model, the vivo V50 Lite. Even before that, the vivo V40 Lite and V30 Lite also used the same chip. That means vivo has used the same processor for four generations in a row.
This raises questions. Is vivo really satisfied with this chipset, or is it not trying to improve performance? Either way, it’s something to think about before buying the phone.
The Snapdragon 685 is built with 6nm technology and has an octa-core CPU. It includes four Cortex-A73 cores at 2.8 GHz for power and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.9 GHz for efficiency. The GPU used is Adreno 610, running at 1260 MHz.
This chipset supports LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The V60 Lite comes with 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded virtually by another 8 GB. It also has 256 GB of internal storage, but there’s no microSD slot, so you can’t add more space.
2. Big Changes in the Camera Department

As the most affordable model in the series, the vivo V60 Lite has some major changes, especially in the camera section. At a lower price, the phone no longer uses ZEISS lenses like the vivo V60.
It also doesn’t have a telephoto periscope camera. Still, this is quite normal for phones in this price range. At least it still includes an ultrawide camera, which can be helpful for group shots or wide scenes.
Another thing to consider is its video recording quality. The V60 Lite can only record videos up to 1080p at 30fps using both the front and rear cameras. This is the same as the previous models, including the V50 Lite 5G.
3. No 5G Support
As mentioned earlier, the V60 Lite is the only model in the series without 5G support. It only connects to 4G/LTE networks, which might be slower than other models that already support 5G.
Because of this, the phone uses a 4G-only chipset. Sadly, instead of picking a high-performance 4G chipset, vivo chose the Snapdragon 685 again, which is not ideal for today’s needs.
While 5G is not available everywhere in 2025, many people still want a phone that supports it. A 5G phone can be used for a longer time in the future. But if you don’t need 5G right now, choosing this phone is still okay.
Conclusion
The vivo V60 Lite is the most affordable option in the series. It’s also the only one that doesn’t support 5G, so it’s limited to 4G and uses the same Snapdragon 685 chipset seen in older models.
Even so, the phone still has some good things to offer. It has an elegant design and feels solid in the hand. The AMOLED screen is enjoyable to look at, and the stereo speakers give clear sound. These features help provide a nice experience for everyday use.
The battery is also quite large at 6500 mAh, which is great for long usage. The fast charging feature is also competitive for its price. So, what do you think? Would you be interested in buying this phone?
