List of Pre-installed Apps (Bloatware) on itel Phones
Are you using an itel mobile phone? If so, you might notice that several apps come pre-installed. But where do these apps come from?
It’s quite common for smartphones to include pre-installed apps, often referred to as bloatware. Some users find them annoying because they take up storage space and often can’t be uninstalled, only disabled.
That said, I don’t think all pre-installed apps are necessarily a bad thing. I used to own a Xiaomi Mi A1, which offered a clean Android experience with no bloatware.
But honestly, it felt a bit inconvenient since I had to manually install third-party apps for basic features like barcode scanning and voice recording, features that ideally should be available out of the box.
As someone currently using an itel phone, specifically the itel RS4, I’ve taken a closer look at the default apps that come with the device. The list below is based on the itel RS4, so while it may differ slightly across other itel models, most of these apps are likely the same. Let’s take a look.
1. AHA Games

Want to play games without installing anything? itel phones include AHA Games, a built-in game portal that lets you enjoy a variety of mini games right away.
From racing and adventure to fighting games, there’s something for everyone. While many of the games might seem casual or simple, once you find one you enjoy, it can be surprisingly addictive.
However, if you're not a fan of in-game ads, this app might not be for you. For example, I played Tower Hero, which was fun, but an ad popped up after nearly every level.
2. AI Gallery

AI Gallery is the default photo and video viewer on itel phones. The Photos tab lets you view images and videos sorted by the date they were taken or downloaded.
To view specific folders, you can switch to the Albums tab and browse through them easily. Beyond just viewing media, AI Gallery also includes handy tools like photo and video hiding, collage creation using templates, and photo compression to save space.
One of its most useful features is Photo Cleaning, which helps you delete duplicate images from accidental double taps, blurry or dark photos, and media auto-downloaded from WhatsApp, all with just a few taps.
3. Calculator

Like most phones, itel includes a basic calculator app for simple arithmetic. While it doesn’t support advanced scientific functions, it gets the job done for everyday calculations.
What’s interesting is the built-in currency converter that updates in real-time with global exchange rates. There’s also a unit converter that supports length, area, volume, time, temperature, weight, and more, making it quite a useful tool overall.
4. Camera

The built-in camera app on itel phones lets you take photos and videos, with features that may vary depending on your model. For example, on the itel RS4, you’ll find Portrait mode, Super Night mode, Film mode, Pro mode, and Sky Shop mode.
This app also supports QR code scanning, so you won’t need to download a separate scanner. Personally, I think the app covers all the basics you’d expect from a default camera app. While other third-party camera apps might offer additional features, the built-in one should be more than enough for everyday photography needs.
5. CarlCare

itel, along with Infinix and Tecno, brands under Transsion Holdings, shares the same official after-sales service: CarlCare. Once you open the app, you’ll need to grant location access so it can help you find the nearest authorized service center.
Through CarlCare, you can book repair appointments online and even request free pick-up and delivery services. It’s a convenient way to manage device repairs without having to visit a store right away.
6. Cleaner

Cleaner is more of a shortcut than a standalone app, it doesn’t appear in the settings menu and can’t be uninstalled, though you can remove its icon from your home screen.
This feature is used to close background apps and free up memory, similar to the Memory Usage tool in the Phone Master app. It claims to improve performance, especially when running heavy apps or games.
That said, I rarely use it. Android’s RAM management is already quite efficient these days. If your device has around 8 GB of RAM, you generally won’t need to worry about clearing apps manually.
7. Clock

itel phones don’t come with separate apps for timers or stopwatches, these features are all built into the default Clock app.
You can easily set alarms here, though I personally prefer using voice commands through Google Assistant for faster setup. Just say how many hours from now you want the alarm to go off, and it’s done.
What’s interesting is that the Clock app also includes features for Muslim users. It shows prayer times, displays the Hijri (Islamic) calendar, and even indicates the direction of Mecca (Qibla).
8. Compass

The Compass app included with itel phones is fairly basic, it simply shows wind directions accurately. I initially assumed it might also point to the Qibla, but that feature is actually found in the Clock app.
When you use the Compass for the first time, you’ll need to calibrate it by moving the phone in a figure-eight or infinity pattern. This helps improve accuracy.
9. Contacts

The Contacts app makes it easy to save numbers for friends, family, and coworkers. While it's a built-in app, it’s packed with useful features you’d also find in many third-party alternatives.
You can add and edit contacts, block numbers, merge duplicate entries, and even sync your contacts with itel Cloud. The app also allows you to choose where your contacts are saved, on your phone, SIM card, or your Google account.
10. EtalaseApps

EtalaseApps is an alternative app store developed by PT. Etalase Digital Nusantara. While it functions similarly to the Google Play Store, what makes it different is its content, all of the apps and games are made by Indonesian developers.
To use EtalaseApps, you’ll need to create an account. Once logged in, you’ll find a wide range of local apps, from entertainment and education to fitness and sports.
11. File Manager

Having trouble finding the files you just downloaded? The File Manager app makes it easy to locate and organize everything.
In the Recents section, you can view files added in the last 30 days and sort them by date, whether downloaded today, yesterday, or the past week. You can also sort files by size, name, or type.
Switch to the Browse tab to explore files by category, such as images, documents, audio, videos, ZIP files, APKs, and more. The app also supports viewing content from USB flash drives or external hard drives via OTG (On-The-Go). However, it doesn’t support cloud storage like Google Drive.
12. Files

If File Manager isn’t quite what you’re looking for, itel also includes Google’s Files app. Yes, there are two default file managers on the itel RS4.
While both apps serve the same core function, Files by Google offers a few extras. It supports cloud storage access and includes tools like document scanning. It’s a great option if you want additional features beyond basic file browsing.
13. Freezer

Freezer works similarly to Cleaner, it's a shortcut on the home screen but doesn’t appear in the settings menu. However, unlike Cleaner, you can’t remove the Freezer icon.
As the name suggests, the app “freezes” other apps, preventing them from running or consuming memory, except for itself. It’s especially useful for disabling bloatware that can’t be uninstalled. Freezing unused apps can help reduce memory usage and prevent unwanted background activity.
14. Hi Translate

No need to open your browser to translate text, itel phones come with Hi Translate, a built-in translation app powered by AI.
It goes beyond basic translation by helping you generate text for specific purposes, such as job applications or casual conversations. It also supports voice and image translation, making it versatile for many situations.
If you're learning a new language, Hi Translate includes a Workbook feature to guide you through practical conversation exercises. In version 5.0.5, you’ll find themes like work, holidays, and hobbies.
15. Hola Browser

Hola Browser is the default web browser on itel phones. It’s ideal for users looking to save data, thanks to its No Image mode, which prevents images from loading on web pages.
It also includes some handy features like a Status Saver for downloading WhatsApp status updates and a built-in ad blocker for smoother, uninterrupted browsing.
16. iPulse

Trying to live a healthier lifestyle but don’t know where to start? iPulse can help. It recommends workouts based on your profile, tracks your progress, and analyzes it using specific fitness metrics.
This app is designed to pair with smartbands or smartwatches, especially for monitoring heart rate or blood oxygen levels. However, if you’re just tracking cycling or running distance, you can do that with your phone’s GPS alone, no wearable required.
17. Mobile Cloner

Switching to a new phone used to be a hassle. Not anymore. Mobile Cloner helps you transfer apps, contacts, messages, and other data from your old phone to your new itel device over Wi-Fi.
It works best when both phones are from itel or other Transsion brands, but it’s also compatible with non-Transsion Android phones, iPhones, and even feature phones. It’s a flexible and easy way to migrate your data.
18. My Health

My Health is another fitness tracking app that’s very similar to iPulse, the main difference is the app’s appearance: My Health has a white background, while iPulse uses black.
It works best when paired with a smartband or smartwatch, allowing you to track progress in various sports like football, basketball, swimming, badminton, and jump rope.
19. Notepad

Notepad is itel’s default app for jotting down quick notes or creating to-do lists. You can even set reminders for specific tasks using alarms.
The app supports rich formatting, letting you bold, italicize, or underline text. You can also attach media like images or voice recordings. Once saved, notes can be organized into folders for easy access later on.
20. Palm Store

Palm Store is an alternative app marketplace similar to the Google Play Store. Here, you’ll find a variety of apps and games, both free and paid.
A categorized tab helps users discover new content, while trending and newly released apps are featured on the main page. One unique feature is the Offline tab, which offers apps and content that don’t require an internet connection.
21. Phone

As the name suggests, the Phone app is used for making and receiving calls. One standout feature is its automatic call recording option. You can enable this so calls are recorded without needing to press anything.
Prefer to control it manually? You can disable auto-recording and simply place your finger on the fingerprint sensor during a call to start recording whenever you want.
22. Phone Master

Think of Phone Master as the all-in-one maintenance hub for your phone. Whether you're running out of storage, your phone feels sluggish, or apps are draining too much battery or data, this app has your back.
It helps optimize memory to keep apps running smoothly and identifies apps that consume too much power so you can close or disable them.
You can also scan for viruses and clean up junk files to free up space. If your phone starts acting up, Phone Master is usually a good place to start.
23. Qpon

Love discounts but often miss the best deals? The Qpon app might be just what you need. It features vouchers and discount codes for restaurants, shops, cinemas, and more.
You’ll also find short videos from content creators reviewing food, travel spots, drinks, and hotels. These reviews can inspire you to try new places, and use the right coupons while you're at it.
24. Recorder

Need to record audio for TikTok or interviews? Recorder gets the job done without requiring an extra app.
You can place real-time tags during the recording to mark key moments, great for interviews or speech notes. However, keep in mind that you can’t add custom annotations to the tags.
25. Rhythm Rush Lite

Rhythm Rush Lite is a rhythm-based music game, similar to Guitar Hero on the PS2. You'll tap virtual piano keys in time with the music, with the patterns becoming more challenging as you level up.
Hit the right notes and earn points, your score will be ranked against other players worldwide after each song.
26. Settings

Like all Android phones, itel comes with the Settings app. This is where you configure everything, from Wi-Fi networks and fingerprint sensors to gesture settings and other unique features. If it involves phone customization, you’ll find it here.
27. SIM ToolKit

You may not use the SIM ToolKit app every day, but it can be helpful, especially when setting up a new SIM card. Some carriers require SIM registration or activation, and this is the app you'll use to do that.
28. Theme

Bored with how your phone looks? The Theme app lets you change it up. As part of the itelOS Launcher, this app offers free themes and wallpapers. You can even upload your own designs for other users to download.
Themes are categorized, whether you prefer nature, romance, fashion, or even cosmic and urban aesthetics, there’s plenty to choose from.
29. Visha Player

Visha Player is more than a standard video player, it also features free Chinese-language content like dramas, TV shows, documentaries, and music. It’s especially useful for those learning Mandarin.
You can also use it to play videos stored on your phone, download subtitles directly within the app, or even convert video files into MP3s. It’s a versatile app for media lovers.
30. Vita Mahjong

If Windows has Solitaire, itel offers Vita Mahjong. This traditional Chinese-inspired game challenges you to match tiles with identical symbols.
Complete a level, and you’ll move on to a more difficult one. It’s simple, relaxing, and a nice way to pass the time.
31. Weather

I’m someone who always checks the weather before heading out, so I appreciate that itel phones come with a built-in Weather app.
This app provides forecasts for up to 72 hours, or three days, ahead. It doesn't just show the temperature; it also tells you whether the weather will be sunny, rainy, or drizzly during that time.
Need more detail? For each of those three days, you can view the hourly chance of rain. There's also a seven-day forecast that gives an overview of the weather for the week ahead.
32. Welife

Welife is itel’s app for connecting your phone to smart devices. It supports a range of gadgets such as smart TVs, lights, routers, smartwatches, power plugs, and wireless earphones.
Once you open the app, you’ll see supported products from Transsion Holdings’ brands, itel, Tecno, and Infinix. For example, under earphones, you'll find models like TECNO True 1, Infinix Buds Lite, itel BudsFire, and more.
33. WOW FM

Prefer to listen to the radio the old-school way? WOW FM lets you enjoy FM radio natively without streaming. You just need to plug in your earphones, which act as the antenna.
The interface is simple, and there’s even a feature to record radio broadcasts so you can replay them later.
34. YT Music

No Spotify? No problem. YouTube Music (YT Music) comes pre-installed on itel phones as the default music streaming app.
The free version has some limitations, you can’t listen with the screen off, playback stops when you leave the app, and ads may interrupt your music. But if you subscribe to the premium version, you can enjoy offline listening, ad-free streaming, and background playback.
Whether you're into local hits or international music, YT Music offers a wide variety of genres to explore.
35. Zen Word

If you like word games, you’ll enjoy Zen Word. It's similar to Scrabble, where you create English words using random letters. The more complex and longer the word, the more points you earn.
Unlike Scrabble, which involves placing tiles on a grid, Zen Word uses swipe gestures, you simply swipe through the letters to form words.
So there you have it, a complete list of the pre-installed apps (or bloatware) you’ll find on your itel phone, presented in alphabetical order. While some may seem unnecessary at first, many of these apps can be surprisingly useful once you get to know them.
Hopefully, this list helps you understand what’s already on your device and how to make the most of it. Happy exploring!
