How to Hide Applications on Tecno Phone
Tecno smartphones come with privacy-focused features, including the ability to hide applications. This feature is particularly useful for keeping your personal data and information secure.
Similar to other smartphone brands, hiding apps on a Tecno device is a simple process, as the feature is designed to be user-friendly.

1. Access Hidden Apps Feature
To hide apps on a Tecno phone, you can use the built-in Hidden Apps feature. There are three ways to access it:
1. Through the Main Page
First, go to the main page. Then, pinch the screen in an empty space or long press until several menus appear at the bottom. Next, select Desktop Settings menu at the bottom right corner. Once open, you will find a wide selection of features that can be set. To hide apps, select Hide Apps at the top.
2. Swipe Up on the Screen
The second way to access the hidden apps feature is to swipe up using two fingers. The hide apps feature will automatically open faster.
3. Through the Phone Master App
The third way is to open the Phone Master application first, then select the Vault menu in the Toolbox column. If you're using this feature for the first time, you'll be prompted to create a pattern lock. Simply follow the instructions to set it up.
2. Hide Apps
After successfully accessing the Hidden Apps feature, you will see different types of files that can be hidden, including apps. To hide apps, select the Apps menu.
To add apps to be hidden, tap the plus (+) icon on the bottom right. Choose the apps you want to hide by ticking the checkboxes next to their names. Press Confirm to finalize the selection.
Once hidden, these apps will no longer appear on your Tecno phone’s home screen. They can only be accessed by entering the lock pattern you set earlier.
3. Restore Hidden Apps
Once you've successfully hidden one or more apps, you can easily restore them to their original state. The process is similar to how you hid them. For more details, please refer to the following steps.
- Please enter or access the hidden apps feature use one of the previously described methods
- Then go to the “Apps” menu to see the apps that are currently hidden.
- Select the apps to unhide by pressing them for a while. You can also select multiple apps at once.
- After that, press the “Unhide” button at the bottom of the screen.
If the process is successful, the apps will now be visible and accessible again on the home screen.
