How to Use the Split Screen on Xiaomi & POCO Phones
The split screen feature is great for multitaskers. It lets you open two apps at the same time, making it easier to get more done. This feature isn’t limited to just one phone brand; many phones, including Xiaomi, offer it.
If you’re new to this feature on your Xiaomi phone, don’t worry! In this guide, we’ll show you how to use the split screen. This way, you can do multiple things at once and boost your productivity. Here’s how to use it.
1. Choose the First App to Open

First, pick the app you want to use in split screen mode. You can open a browser, a social media app, or even a messaging app. In the example, I’m opening Google Chrome.
Once the app is open, tap the “Recent Apps” button at the bottom left. This button may look different depending on your theme, but it’s usually a square.
If the app you want to use is open, tap and hold on the Google Chrome app until a few icons appear next to it. Now, tap the icon that shows two stacked rectangles (as shown in the picture).
Once you do this, the Google Chrome app will appear at the top of the screen in split screen mode.
2. Choose the Second App to Open

With Google Chrome open at the top, you can now select your second app. Tap the empty space at the bottom of the screen to search for the app. In this example, I’m choosing LinkedIn.
Once you select the app, it will appear below Google Chrome in split screen mode. You can also adjust the size of each app by dragging the dividing line.
3. Exit Split Screen Mode
When you’re done with split screen mode, you can exit without closing the apps. Simply pull the dividing line down to the bottom of the screen. After that, only the top app will be visible, Google Chrome in this case.
Alternatively, you can exit split screen mode by pressing the “Home” button. This will return you to the main screen, but all your open apps will still be running in the background.
That’s it! It’s easy, right? Now you can multitask on your Xiaomi phone with the split screen feature. Good luck!
