5 Best Challenging Puzzle Games on Android

Puzzle games are a fun way to spend your free time and keep your brain active. When you're bored or waiting for something, playing a good puzzle game can help you stay sharp.

This one is my personal favorite. Kami 2 is the sequel to the original Kami, a logic puzzle game with an origami-style paper theme. In the game, you'll see a sheet of folded paper with different colors. Your goal is to turn the whole sheet into one single color, using only a limited number of moves.

The gameplay is easy to understand, but the puzzles still challenge your logic. As you move up through the levels, the patterns become more difficult and complex.

One thing I really enjoy is the mix of visuals, background music, and sound effects. They help me stay focused, but also make the game feel calming. For me, Kami 2 is the kind of game you can enjoy when you want to relax and still keep your brain active.

There’s also an “undo” feature, so you can take back a move if needed. And if you're stuck, there’s a hint option to show you the best solution. However, you need to watch an ad to use it.

Kami 2 offers several game modes. In “Explore,” you play through levels step by step. The “Challenge” mode includes more difficult puzzles. There’s also a “Streak” mode, where you try to win as many times in a row as possible.

At certain levels, you can unlock a feature that lets you create your own patterns. You can share them with the community or try designs made by other players. That makes the game feel fresh and more interactive.

What I like about Kami 2:

Teeny Tiny Town is a fun and unique puzzle game. As the player, your job is to build a small town by combining objects on a board. To do that, just match three of the same item. Once combined, they will turn into something new to help grow your town.

For example, I combined three small trees. These trees turned into medium-sized ones. Then, by combining more small trees, they got two more big trees. After that, they joined the three big trees and created wood. The wood was later used to build houses.

You keep doing this until your town is full of buildings. But be careful, the game board has limited space. When the board is full, it gets harder to match items. The idea is quite similar to match-3 games, so you need to plan your moves well.

Teeny Tiny Town also offers different maps. At the beginning, you can only play on one map. If you want to build a town on other maps, you need to use diamonds to unlock them.

What I like about Teeny Tiny Town:

• A creative puzzle concept with city-building elements
• Watching items grow from trees to wood to houses feels rewarding
• The limited space makes the game more challenging
• Several maps to keep things interesting

Things to note:

• The board fills up fast, so smart planning is important
• You can only unlock new maps using diamonds

4. Prison Escape Puzzle

Prison Escape Puzzle is a fun and exciting puzzle game where you must solve different challenges to escape from a prison. In the first level, your goal is to break out from behind bars.

We tried this game and had a great time playing it. Everything went smoothly until we reached the door to the security room. There, a number puzzle appeared, and it was quite tricky.

If you get stuck, you can use hints to help you. The good thing is, there’s no limit to how many hints you can use. But sometimes the hints are not clear and make the puzzle feel even more confusing.

Luckily, there’s also a skip button for some puzzles. The downside is that it’s not free. You need 10 coins to use it, and these coins have to be bought with real money. Overall, I got quite hooked on this game. There are several levels to play, and each one brings a new challenge.

What I like about Prison Escape Puzzle:

5. Okay?

The name of this puzzle game is quite unique, right? Okay? is a simple game, but many of the puzzles are hard to solve. Your job is to clear the white board by removing all the objects.

You do this by drawing lines with your finger. These lines make small balls appear. The balls bounce and hit the objects to remove them from the board. So, you need to draw the lines in the right direction to make sure all the objects are cleared.

At the start of the game, there’s a short tutorial to help you understand the rules. If you're still unsure, you can watch an ad to open the instructions. There’s also a fun feature that lets you draw your own objects and try to clear them. That adds a creative twist to the game.
