4 Ways to Restart Infinix Mobile Phone
Regularly restarting your phone can keep it running smoothly. This helps clear unneeded RAM usage and junk files, especially when your phone isn't responding well.
As fellow Infinix users, we want to share some straightforward and safe ways to restart your Infinix phone, using the Power button or not. We're using the Infinix Hot 12i with the XOS Dolphin v7.6.0 interface, but these methods work similarly across other Infinix models.
Using the Power Button
The simplest way to restart your phone is by using the Power button. This method is widely used across all mobile brands and is quite straightforward.
Unlike OPPO phones, which require pressing both the Power and volume buttons, Infinix phones can be restarted just with the Power button. Here’s how:
First, ensure no apps are running on your Infinix phone. On the home screen, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until a new window pops up.
Then, as directed by XOS, press and hold the "Restart" button briefly. Once the screen goes off, let go of the button. The phone will restart automatically. Wait for it to turn back on, and it'll be ready to go.
Using the Power button is handy and easy to remember. However, this method might wear out the physical Power button if used too often, potentially damaging it quickly. While convenient, it's best not to rely on this method alone.

Using Accessibility Features
This method is another straightforward option for restarting your Infinix phone. But first, you'll need to enable the accessibility features.
Turning on these features is simple. Start by opening "Settings," either from the app drawer or the notification bar.
Scroll down and tap on "Additional Features," then choose "Accessibility."
Next, go to "Accessibility Menu" and toggle it on by clicking the switch next to "Accessibility Menu Shortcut."
If a prompt appears, hit "ALLOW" to proceed. Once enabled, a human-like icon will appear at the bottom right of your screen, indicating the accessibility icon is active.
Now, let's restart your phone. Ensure no apps are running in the background. On your home screen, tap the accessibility icon.
You'll see several options; choose the "POWER" menu. This will bring up a menu similar to what you see when you long-press the Power button.
Press and hold the "Restart" option for a few seconds to initiate the restart. Wait for your phone to power off and on—it will be ready to use momentarily.
The accessibility icon will stay on the bottom right, allowing you to restart your phone using the accessibility menu anytime without needing to activate it again. Pretty convenient, isn't it?
Using Scheduled Timing
Another way to restart your Infinix phone is by setting it to do so automatically at scheduled times. This means your phone will turn off and on again at times you've predetermined.
You can arrange for this schedule to repeat daily, so you don't have to reset it. As a tip, consider setting your phone to turn off when you go to bed and to turn back on when you wake up. Here are the steps to set this up:
Start by opening the "Settings" menu. You can access it directly through the app or from the notification bar. Once you're in Settings, scroll all the way down and tap on the "System" menu.
Inside the System menu, look for "Scheduled power on/off and restart" and select it.
Next, simply set the times you want your phone to turn off and on again. Make sure the toggle next to the time setting turns green, indicating it's active.
Once you've done this, your Infinix phone will automatically power down and restart at the times you've set, without you having to do anything further.
Using Third-Party Apps
Besides using the built-in features of your Infinix phone, you can also restart it with third-party applications. There are several apps available that allow you to restart your phone without using the Power button.
Here are a couple of apps that we highly recommend. These apps are free and can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store.
1. Shutdown (no root)
The first app we suggest is Shutdown (no root), developed by samiadom. This app is straightforward and practical to use. It includes basic features similar to the Power button on a mobile phone.
One useful feature is the restart option, which lets you restart your phone, and another is the Power off function to turn off the device. You can find this app on the Google Play Store. It’s free and has a small file size, so it won’t take up much of your phone’s RAM.
2. Power Menu
Another app we recommend is Power Menu, created by developer Pratik Raut. Similar to Shutdown, this app mimics the function of the Power button on your Infinix phone.
The Power Menu app is also lightweight, ensuring it doesn’t consume much RAM. To download it, simply search for it on the Google Play Store or click here.
These are some effective ways to maintain your phone’s performance by periodically restarting it. While the Power button is commonly used for this purpose, frequent use can increase the risk of damage.
As alternatives, consider using the methods mentioned earlier, such as utilizing Infinix’s built-in accessibility features or setting a schedule to automatically turn your phone off and on.
