How to Set the Clock on Samsung Phone
Setting the clock on your phone is essential to ensure the displayed time is accurate. If the time is incorrect, you might miss important appointments and scheduled activities for the day.
Moreover, inaccurate time can affect various smartphone functions and apps, including reminders, alarms, and web browsers.
In this article, Carisinyal will guide you through simple steps to set the clock on a Samsung phone, ensuring that the time on your screen is always precise.
1. Go to Settings

First, open the Settings app on your Samsung phone. The icon is usually shaped like a gear and can be found in the App Drawer or Quick Settings.
If you're having trouble locating it, use the search feature by typing "Settings" in the search bar at the top of the screen.
Once inside the Settings menu, scroll down and select General Management. In this section, you'll find the Date and Time settings.
2. Set Automatic or Manual Time
Next you can enable the Automatic date and time option. By enabling this feature, the phone will automatically synchronize the time with your carrier's network.
If you prefer to set the time manually, turn off this option. Then, tap Set time to adjust the hours and minutes manually. If needed, you can also select Set date to change the date.
3. Set Time Zone

To ensure your phone's time always matches your current location, enable the Automatic time zone option. Like the automatic date and time feature, this setting synchronizes the time with your carrier’s network.
For even greater accuracy, you can also turn on Set time zone by location. This option adjusts the time zone based on both your carrier's information and your actual location.
If the automatic setting doesn’t work, you can set the time zone manually. Simply disable the automatic option, then tap Select time zone. Choose your Region, and if there are multiple time zones within it, select the correct one under Time zone.
4. Set Time Format
Finally, you can customize the time format to your preference. Samsung allows you to choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour format.
To adjust this setting, find the Use 24-hour format option. Turn it on if you prefer the 24-hour format, or off if you're more comfortable with the 12-hour format.
That’s it! You’ve successfully set the clock on your Samsung phone. Now, your phone's time will always be accurate and tailored to your needs. Good luck!
